1. It’s not about being “thoughtless”
And you don’t need to be! The biggest misconception is that we need to clear our mind to meditate. False. Meditating is simply focusing on our breath. Then the mind will wander, it happens. Eve
2. Find A Space
It doesn’t need to feel “perfect”. A bedroom, office, or any other quiet(ish) space away from others. You may even dim the lights, use a fan for white noise, or grab a pillow and blanket for comfort. Grab headphones if needed!
3. Silence Your Stuff
Quiet your phone and close computer apps such as emails, messages, music, alerts, and anything else that can ping at you.
4. How To Sit
Comfortable and attentive (recommended in a chair) with a tall spine and relaxed shoulders, hold up neck and head. Release jaw and soften stomach. Feel the body become still and grounded.
